Being a Special Education Professional is an extremely rewarding career. Using your imagination and critical thinking skills, you will have the opportunity to create interactive lessons/sessions that engage students to display their full potential. You will have a wide knowledge base to assist students with impairments in accessing their education and being successful in the school setting. Additionally, schools utilize a team-based approach to help students with complex educational needs. The team brings together the skills and expertise of multiple professionals to plan and manage the unique needs of the students. Over time, you will see students begin to use what they have learned from you as they implement these skills into their daily lives. The school-based setting is ideal for people who are really looking to make a long-term difference in the lives of their students.

Working with IEP Therapy in the school setting provides more flexibility than working directly with the district. We work with you to develop a schedule that meets your needs. A school-based calendar typically runs on 7.5-hour days for only 10 months out of the year. While some of our team members work full-time contract positions, others are looking for more flexibility in their schedules. For these individuals, IEP Therapy has opportunities for part-time contract work as well. Our team members enjoy having all major holidays off work, as well as fall, winter, spring, and summer breaks.

Working at IEP Therapy provides an additional benefit that most therapists just do not get – SUPPORT. Our company is therapist owned and operated. The CEO of IEP Therapy has worked in the school setting and understands the many challenges special education professionals face. We believe in building and supporting our team members in whatever way they need. To do so, we have therapy managers, who do not carry a caseload of their own, and whose sole responsibility is to help you succeed in your career. Our therapy managers proactively reach out to all our team members monthly. Each therapist has different needs and support requests, so we tailor our support program accordingly.

IEP Therapy also provides many other benefits. We offer access to unlimited CEU’s so you can complete them when its convenient for you. We also offer digital therapy materials you can access and use with all your students as well as lending library full of materials that can be checked out at any time and provide access to a plethora of digital activities, so that you have a wide range of materials available to use to strengthen your lessons/sessions.

Ultimately, IEP Therapy is looking for the most talented Special Education Professionals we can find. We value hardworking, imaginative, organized, diligent, and professional therapists/teachers who exceed our clients’ expectations of what IEP Therapy can do for schools. With that said, we know that these talented individuals have many options, so we have a competitive hourly pay scale, as well as a competitive contract benefits package.
