Summer Success 2008 Programs

Brite Kidz Summer School

For Integrative Learning Centre students, these sessions are designed to maintain each student's academic achievements gained during the school year while also providing Educational Therapy to continue developing the brain-body connection.

Sessions begin the week of June 16, 2008 and end the week of August 18.  Mon and/or Weds 9 a.m. to Noon ~ Tues and/or Thurs 1-4 p.m.  $25/hour one/day week (3 hours) ~ $22/hour two days/week (6 hours).

Auditory Integration Training (AIT)

During AIT, participants listen to music through a set of special headphones.  The frequencies in the music, modified by an electronic device, exercise the muscles that control the three ossicles (the small bones in the middle ear).  The Berard AIT method has successfully helped individuals--children, adolescents, and adults--with:  ADD/ADHD, Learning Difficulties & Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Depression, Dyslexia, Auditory Processing Disorder, Sensory Dysfunction, and Pervasive Developmental Disorder (PDD).

AIT is administered by a Registered Occupational Therapist.  Each participant's listening program is individualized based on a listening evaluation completed before and at the mid-point of the AIT sessions.  Participants listen to one hour of modified music for one hour/day for ten consecutive days.

AIT Dates:  June 9-13, 16-20.  July 14-18, 21-25.  August 11-15, 18-22 (Aug dates subject to change).  A non-refundable deposit of $100 paid 30 days prior to the start of your requested session will hold your spot.  Payment in full must be made one week prior to the start of your session.  Cost:  $1200.
