NEW! NeuroFitness for Driving

New Drivers • Experienced Drivers • Older Drivers!

This program is specifically geared to sharpen driver performance by exercising the areas of the brain responsible for awareness, attention, judgment, perception, responsiveness, and memory.

NeuroFitness for Driving combines three essential programs—Drive Fit, Makoto, and My Brain Trainer—into one unique package that works on:

  • Focus
  • Divided attention
  • Speed estimation
  • Processing speed
  • Ability to change plans quickly
  • Eye hand coordination
  • Visual scanning
  • Auditory discrimination

A 16-year old driver is 10 times more likely to be involved in a crash than an adult. That’s why we think every student should be exposed to the Driving Skills for Life lesson plan.

Driving Skills for Life is a national safety initiative aimed at teenagers who have earned or are about to earn a driver’s license. Developed by a panel of national safety experts, the program is designed to help students learn the skills necessarydriver's education classes.

DriveFit

DriveFit is a powerful and sophisticated computer program that presents a scientifically proven way to
enhance driving skills and abilities.  Extensive testing conducted by leading psychologists, has proven that DriveFit training clearly improves the various driving-related mental processes.
DriveFit is a unique, user-friendly, interactive program.

This same tool can help experienced drivers add new performance levels to their existing driving skills.

There is no substitute for knowledge and behind-the-wheel experience, but research has shown
that by training mental skills it is possible to significantly improve your ability in key driving related areas:
judging distance and speed, concentration, avoiding distractions and reacting more quickly to hazards.

DriveFit is a sophisticated Program that presents a proven way for enhancing driving skills and ablitites. DriveFit training boosts the various mental processes associated with driving.

• DriveFit can improve short-term memory by 30 %, divided attention by 14%, reaction time by 12 %,
changing plans by 29% and speed judgement by 18 %.

• The improved cognitive abilities will not only improve your driving ability but can also improve your
performance in sports through faster reaction time and better hand-eye co-ordination as well as work or
schoolwork through improved memory.

Statistics show that drivers between the ages of 18- 24 are most likely to be
involved in car accidents during the first two years they have their driving licenses.

Analysis of the thousands of DriveFit users has shown that training with DriveFit
significantly increases the student's chances of passing their driving test.

Driving Skills

DriveFit™ helps to improve your ability to:
· Assess time, speed, and distance

· Remember relevant information
· Scan visually
· Spot problems

Life Skills

DriveFit™ trains some of the most basic brain functions, such as attention, perception, and memory, which are not only important to keep fresh for driving, but also to be safe, smart, and effective in all aspects of your life.

Research

CogniFit introduced its product, DriveFit to the market in the spring of 2003.
The software program is designed to enhance the driving skills and abilities necessary for safe driving,
including speed estimation, hand to eye coordination, reaction time, decision time, and event times.

The British School of Motoring (BSM), which trains more than 200,000 students every year
and is one of the largest driving schools in the world, was one of the first driving schools
to integrate DriveFit into its programme. About 30-40 percent of BSM's students purchase the
technology annually, according to Yossi Mazel, CogniFit's VP of marketing. The national UK pass
average is 43%. Students who use DriveFit have a pass rate of 60%.

PREDICTING UNSAFE DRIVING:  A CASE STUDY

Conclusion

The DriveFit software is easy to use and self explanatory – it guides the user, describes progress rates, and points out areas of difficulty.  In several studies CogniFit demonstrated that computerised training exercises can significantly enhance a wide range of cognitive skills, including attention and perceptual skills.  Thus, it is possible to reduce the high risk of novice drivers by providing targeted training that narrows the gap between experienced and non-experienced drivers.

 Training with MyBrainTrainerTM

"MyBrainTrainerTM.com uses a set of highly interactive mental challenges called elementary cognitive tasks (ECTs) to stimulate your neurons to fire more rapidly and to generate more connections within your brain. ECTs also increase blood flow to the region of the brain being exercised, increase the number of neural receptors, and enhance the uptake and synthesis of neurotransmitters, especially those used by the brain to perform the specific cognitive task."

"MyBrainTrainerTM
.com offers you various distinct brain exercise games that stimulate and train different parts of your brain. This is the cognitive equivalent of going to the gym to use Nautilus equipment that isolates and challenges specific muscles or muscle groups. And, in addition to the cognitive exercises being enjoyable, they will always remain challenging because the difficulty factor automatically increases as your brain processing speed increases."

Makoto

Makoto: therapy for the mind and body

Over the past decade the concept of neuroplasticity, our ability to re-grow and repair neurological
pathways in the brain and body, has advanced from hypothesis to accepted theory. Studies of Makoto-like therapies that combine cross-body movements with visual and auditory stimulus show significant improvement in visual, cardiovascular, and neurological performance. These improvements include the areas of memory, proprioception, cognitive processing, speech, learning disabilities and more.

The Makoto arena measures your reaction time and accuracy, so each time you try it you are given a
benchmark to improve upon. The sound and light frequency can be set according to each person's ability.

We’ve integrated Makoto into our Driver’s Tune Up training. Makoto increases the neurological
connections between the brain and the body resulting in improved mental acuity, cognitive ability,
reaction time and overall better coordination and performance.  Most importantly, Makoto improves your
mental focus and physical abilities while you're having fun.
