Educational Therapy

Educational Therapists develop individualized educational plans that address academic areas of need as well as the underlying neuroprocessing deficits, such as:

  • memory deficits
  • attention skills
  • visual processing skills
  • auditory processing skills
  • higher order thinking skills
  • phonemic recognition
  • receptive and expressive language
  • social skills are incorporated into all programs

At Integrative Educational Partners we use the AVKO program for remediation of spelling, reading, writing and typing difficulties. We also utilize aspects of Linda Mood Bell's Learning Processes to improve reading and cognitive skills. Various strategies for math remediation are used depending on the specific underlying neuroprocessing difficulties impacting the ability to do math. Critical thinking skills are incorporated into all activities to improve independent thinking and problem solving abilities.

Combined with this is a multisensory approach to learning. Various techniques from sensory integration therapy are used to promote brain activation and aid in the learning process. Our techniques depend on the needs of the individual. Our programming is completely individualized to address the identified, specific needs of our client.
